ALCOM Mortice Lock Series

  • The state-of-the-art range of Alcom 5000, 6000 and 7000 series stainless steel mortice locks are designed and engineered at the Australian Lock Company to ensure that the high quality expected from Australia’s Award winning manufacturer of BiLock high security locking systems is maintained.

  • We are proud to announce that, in addition to both SCEC and the fire rating, the lock was also approved by an independent NATA accredited body to Australian Standards AS4145.2.1993
level D3 durability and level S3 physical security with K2 cylinder fitted. The product now joins the ranks of this country’s most highly secured and accredited
locking mechanisms.

Alcom 5000, 6000 and 7000 series stainless steel mortice lock:
    • Allows you the flexibility to change the handing of the lock without removal of the lock case lid by simple rotation of the latch bolt for inwards or outwards opening, and from left hand to right hand without case disassembly.
    • Offers a multi-functional case allowing you easy conversion of a “vestibule” lock function to a “combination” lock function by simply turning the handing pieces on the side of the lock.
    • Body & case lid made from 2mm grade 304 stainless steel.
    • Auxiliary dead latching bolt of sintered stainless steel.

  1. Auxiliary Dead Latching Bolt
The auxiliary dead latching latch bolt is made of sintered stainless steel and retracts with the main latch bolt. When the door is in the closed position the main latch bolt is extended into the strike plate, while the auxiliary dead latching latch bolt remains retracted as it automatically activates the dead latching function. This prevents the main latch bolt from being manipulated from applied end
pressure against the latch bolt.
  2. Latch bolt and deadbolts
Manufactured from 304 grade sintered stainless steel, the main latching bolt has a 15 mm protrusion. To reverse the bolt, simply remove the face plate and rotate 180 degrees clockwise prior to installation of the face plate.
The deadbolt has a protrusion of 18 mm manufactured from 304 grade sintered stainless steel.
